Bowling’s Only 301 Game
Pipe-fitter and amateur bowler Bob Lambert bowled his way into the record books at a local tournament in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 14, 1958.
Lambert started his game with 11 strikes in a row. With his adrenaline flowing in the 12th and final frame, Lambert heaved his ball with such velocity that it split the headpin neatly in two before knocking down the other nine pins. The scorer gave him 11 for the final strike, leading to bowling’s only recorded 301 game.
