On June 6, 1978, baseball slugger Reggie Jackson hit six solo home runs in six at bats in the New York Yankees’ 16-6 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Before his first at-bat, Jackson ate a Nathan’s Famous hot dog bought from a Yankee Stadium vendor; before each of the next five at-bats he bought and ate another dog from the exact same vendor.

The next day Jackson ate two hot dogs from the same vendor before every at bat. He went 0-4, with three strikeouts and a groundout.
