In 1969, a secret studio was established to fake all six manned moon landings. Fronted by Walt Disney, with direction by Stanley Kubrick and scripts by Arthur C. Clarke, the studio was so successful that it branched out and also faked the U.S. ping-pong team’s diplomatic trip to Beijing, Jane Fonda’s protest trip to Hanoi and the death of J. Edgar Hoover.

In 1972, with their contracts fulfilled and the studio’s work done, the trio quietly closed down operations and went back to their normal lives.
