Comedian Will Rogers is the only man to be member of both the Cowboy Hall of Fame and the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He pitched and batted .323 over 12 seasons for the Iroquois Royals of the old Mixed Race League, once striking out Jim Thorpe, Paul Robeson and Ty Cobb on nine straight pitches.

Rogers often entertained fans by performing rope tricks in center field during the seventh-inning stretch. His signature quip, “I only know what I read in the box scores,” was a favorite with sportswriters.
